Coverage
What is Liability coverage?
It covers the damage you cause to other people or vehicles in an accident. It does not cover damage to your own car. It's the minimum coverage required by law in Georgia.
What is Full Coverage?
It includes Liability + Collision (damage to your own car in an accident) + Comprehensive (theft, vandalism, weather, animals). It's mandatory if the car is financed or leased.
Which coverage do I need?
Car owned outright: you can choose Liability or Full Coverage. Financed or leased car: the bank requires Full Coverage. Uber/Lyft/apps: requires special commercial coverage.
What coverage limits are common in Georgia?
The most common are 25/50/25 (legal minimum) and 100/300/100 (recommended). Our team explains the options along with the price.
What is a deductible and how does it work?
It's what you pay in an accident before insurance covers the rest (applies to Full Coverage; $500 and $1,000 are most common). Example: if the repair costs $3,700 and your deductible is $500, you pay $500 and the insurer pays the remaining $3,200. A higher deductible lowers your monthly payment.
Getting a quote
What documents do you need?
A photo of each driver's license (if you don't have a license, a passport, state ID or consular ID works), the car's VIN (photo or typed) and a contact email.
Where do I find the VIN?
On the windshield, lower corner on the driver's side (visible from outside); on the driver's door label; or on the vehicle documents (title, registration).
Do I need active insurance to get a quote?
It's not required, but if you have active insurance in Georgia it can earn you a significant discount. Always tell us either way.
Why can't you give me a price right away?
The price depends on the VIN, driver history, coverage type and other factors. Without that data any number would be inaccurate. With your complete info, our team quotes and replies within minutes during business hours.
Drivers & special cases
Can I insure more than one driver?
Yes. We just need a license photo for each driver included on the policy.
Do young drivers affect the price?
Yes, drivers under 25 generally have a higher premium. Our team finds the best available option for your case.
What if the driver has accidents or tickets?
It affects the price but doesn't prevent a quote. We evaluate each case and find the carrier that takes it best.
Can I get a quote without a Georgia license?
It depends on the case. Tell us what kind of license you have (out-of-state, foreign, ITIN) and our team will evaluate it.
Payments & renewals
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit/debit card, cash, Zelle and bank transfer. You can also pay your carrier directly through their portal, phone or app.
Do you accept monthly payments?
Yes. Our team explains the available payment options with every quote.
What happens if I'm late on a payment?
It depends on the company, but they do NOT cancel your policy immediately: you get a grace period of several days, though a late fee usually applies. Text us as soon as you can and we'll help.
Does my policy renew automatically?
Every company and every policy handles renewal differently. To avoid giving you wrong information, our team confirms exactly how yours works by text message.
Emergencies
I bought a new car — how long do I have to report it?
Tell us as soon as possible. Companies usually give a 14-30 day grace period if you already have an active policy, but it's best to report it immediately so your new car is protected from day one.
What do I do if I have an accident?
Stay calm: call 911 if anyone is hurt; call the police; photograph everything; exchange info without admitting fault; and report to your carrier on their 24/7 claims line. Our claims page has the step-by-step guide and every company's number.
Does LCG handle my claim?
Your insurance company processes the claim directly, but LCG guides you and stays with you through the whole process.
